Rugby league legend Paul Sironen will be in Wingham this week to host a fundraiser for Tinonee Public School.
If you want to meet the former Balmain Tiger (pictured left) and win some great prizes, get your tickets for the auction and trivia night which will be held on Friday at the Wingham Services Club.
The Tinonee school hosts a fundraiser annually and last year’s fete raised over $3000.
Event organiser Toni Bishop is hoping to do even better this year with this event.
As well as some fun trivia, there will be a host of items on auction including footy memorabilia, a night’s accommodation at the Meridian Resort at Old Bar and plants from Parkhill Nursery.
Toni also acknowledged the Gold Club Motor Inn for donating accommodation for both Paul and his manager.
More than 10 tables have already been booked for the evening, so get your tickets now to avoid disappointment.
Tickets are $15 each which includes free nibbles and a ticket in the lucky draw.
Tickets are available from the club in Bent Street or by phoning event organiser Toni Bishop on 6553 1322.
Paul “Sirro” Sironen played 246 first grade games for the Tigers and holds the record as their longest serving player in terms of first grade matches. He also played seven games for Sydney Origin, 14 for NSW and in 21 Tests for Australia.
