The club championship series of ranges continued at the extreme range of 800 metres last Saturday.

Club champion Wendy Moon continued to lead the field by scoring yet another double possible score of 100 with 13 central bull’s eyes.

B-grade shooter Brian Mavin was just four centrals behind Wendy, coming into second place and obtaining the only other double possible score on the day with 100-9.

Third was newly appointed A-grader Jim Blackmore with 99-11.

The next group scoring 98 were separated only by the centrals count lead by Stephen Southwell with 14 centrals, then Bronte Thurtell with 9, Bill Blackmore 9, and Barry White 6.

Captain Allan Coleman scored 96-7 then Shane Meaker 96-5, Janine Mc Caffrey 95-6, Robert Bartlett 92-4, Josh Eagles 86-5, Nathan Eagles 86-3.

A steady improvement in his shooting saw Damien Croft score a 76-2 equalled by John Holland with 76-2. Kristy Meaker fired one stage only scoring 42-1 along with Jo Holland’s one stage of 36-0.

Phil Costa shooting free class appears to have solved his scope problems and came first on the day with 105.

Veteran Ian Young retired after shooting one stage scoring a 46.

Next Saturday the club championship series will continue at the short ranges commencing at 300-metres distance commencing at 1.30pm.
