Voting forms have been coming in thick and fast for the people’s choice section of the inaugural Wingham Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
The Chronicle office has received more than 200 votes from Wingham shoppers keen to have their say on the best in Wingham business.
People have until this Friday to vote for their favourites in the following categories: best presented business, best secretary or receptionist, best salesperson and best after-sales service.
Don’t forget, one lucky voter will receive a voucher for two to spend on lunch at Tellers Café and Restaurant, Wingham.
The Wingham Chamber of Commerce has decided to cancel the judged section of the Wingham Business Awards due to a lack of entries.
Because only a small number of businesses elected to be in the running for the adjudicated categories, it was deemed too difficult to judge winners fairly in each section.
Despite this, the chamber is forging ahead the awards night which will now be held at Bent on Food on Saturday, July 19.
The winners of the people’s choice awards will be presented with trophies and certificates of encouragement will be presented to the businesses that entered the judged categories.
Sinfonia, Orchestra of the Mid North Coast, and local band The Workshop will provide the soundtrack to the fun evening which all chamber members and their partners are encouraged to attend.
