About 40 police officers from three different local area commands were in Wingham Monday morning to take part in a training exercise at the Wingham Train Station.
Countrylink loaned a train to the police for the training scenario, which simulated a hostage situation.
The police began the exercise at 3am Monday morning and didn’t finish up until about 9am in the morning.
Sergeant Frank Brown was impressed with the work of the officers, who came from the Manning-Great Lakes, Mid North Coast and Coffs-Clarence Local Area Commands.
Sgt Brown also thanked Countrylink for its assistance in the scenario.
